Catch the moment and book yourself a short spring break

September through November

As the days lengthen and the temperature increases, spring is the ideal time to get outside and explore Kaikoura. Miles of stunning coastline, tracks and trails with lots of different ways to explore and enjoy them.

Get up early and enjoy the spring snow at Mt Lyford - the ideal family ski field and just a short drive from Kaikoura.

Or start your day with a lazy brunch before heading out for a leisurely stroll along the Peninsula walkway.

Catch the new life - look out for seal pups in the seal colonies all along the coastline. And if you are lucky, you may see some dolphin calves no bigger than a rugby ball.

Spring brings the start of a new fishing season. Bring your gear or go for a fishing charter.
